Davenport, IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Derrick Dewayne Hargrett and he is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit a forcible felony, and possession of a firearm by a felon in the death of Sylvester Eddings.
The 35-year-old man was booked into the Scott County Jail Tuesday night.
Prosecutors say that three other suspects, Demarcus Laron Liddell, Taneshia Nashay Coleman and Cordell McDowell, are also in custody on charges of first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, and conspiracy to commit a forcible felony.
According to the court documents, they have a status hearing Dec. 8.
The 45-year-old victim was fatally shot on Aug. 22, 2020.
