Scott County, IOWA - According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, his name is Shane Bostrom and he is charged with first-degree murder in the June 10 shooting death of 28-year-old Jessica Bostrom. On June 10, Eldridge Police Department officers, Scott County Sheriff’s deputies and Iowa State Patrol troopers responded to the 300 block of West Davenport Street on a report of a shooting. The responding officers found the 28-year-old victim in the residence. She was pronounced dead at the scene. At the time of the incident, Bostrom was charged with controlled substance violation, child endangerment, obstructing prosecution of defense and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bostrom has been held in the Scott County Jail since his wife’s death. This story will be updated as new information become available.
