Burlington, IOWA – According to the Burlington Police Department, the shooting occurred right after 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.
It happened in the 500-block of South Central Avenue.
Burlington Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.
When the officers arrived on scene, the found one adult male victim.
Police said the 64-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Authorities said that a firearm related to the shooting incident was recovered and 30-year-old suspect has been arrested.
His name is Joshua Tracey Manfredi and he is now charged with: willful injury, going armed with intent and aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon.
Additional charges are pending, officials said.
