Davenport, IOWA – According to the officials, the Davenport Police Department is seeking its sixth reaccreditation, a highly-prized recognition of law enforcement professional excellence.
Officials said that the verification by the team that the Davenport Police Department meets the Commission’s stringent, state-of-the-art standards exemplifying the best practices in law enforcement is part of a voluntary process to gain reaccreditation.
As part of the assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments directly to the assessment team.
Telephone comments as well as appearances at the public information session are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies standards.
