Linn County, IOWA – According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred right after 9 p.m. Friday.
It happened at Sutliff Rd and Day Rd.
Linn County Sheriff’s deputies, Linn County Rescue crews, Mt Vernon Lisbon Police Department officers, Mt Vernon Lisbon Fire Department crews and Lisbon Mt Vernon Ambulance personnel responded to a report of a single vehicle crash.
The responding deputies discovered that the 48-year-old motorcyclist, later identified as Aaron Zeman, was traveling northbound on Sutliff Rd near Day Rd when he lost control of the motorcycle and laid it down on the roadway.
The 48-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was to a local hospital for treatment.
The 38-year-old passenger on the motorcycle, later identified as Amber Malloy, also suffered non-life- threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Zeman was later charged with operating while intoxicated and reckless driving.
This incident remains under investigation.
