Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, he stole almost $300,000 and now he faces Davenport Police Department charges of one count of theft and one count of ongoing criminal activity. His name is Dwayne A. Rupp and he is 57-year-old. He allegedly stole from LPW-I, Inc., a machinery movement and installation company based in Davenport. He also used LPW-I funds to purchase machinery for his personal use. The thefts were allegedly committed through various schemes involving Fastenal, an industrial supplier. Iowa – According to the police officials, officers responded to a shooting call to an apartment in the 600 block of South Governor Street just before 8:10 P.M. When the officers arrived at the scene, they found a deceased adult male. One witness told police that three men entered the residence, shot the victim, and fled. IOWA – The state was reporting 5,236 COVID-19-related deaths. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus. There are 328,640 confirmed cases of coronavirus. The total number of people tested is 1,511,673. With the expansion of priority groups in Iowa, more people are eligible to get COVID-19 vaccinations, including all Iowans age 65 or older —an age demographic most vulnerable to serious COVID-19 illness and death — and people in certain professions. IOWA – The officials did not name the five counties while discussing the decision with AARP members. A new state rule requiring the use of at least 80% of a county’s vaccination allotment is designed to reduce the amount of vaccine sitting in storage. The decision was not intended to punish the counties but to give them a little bit of a break to catch up. The counties will be given their full allocation the next week if they meet the 80% target.

Davenport, IA – According to the police report, this unfortunate incident occurred around 9:40 p.m. Friday. When the officers arrived at the scene, they found the vehicle stuck in a snow embankment located in the yard of a residence near Clark and Locust streets. Davenport, IA – His name is Mark L. Blackwood, 63-year-old, and he allegedly hit and killed Eric L. Johnson, 60, of Rock Island. This unfortunate incident occurred on Monday, Jan. 18, around 7:00 p.m. According to the police officials, Blackwood reportedly struck Johnson in the 1900 block of North Washington St., Davenport and dragged him about six-tenths of a mile to the 2600 block of North Fillmore Lane.
