Des Moines, IOWA – According to the Des Moines Police Department, the shooting occurred around 7:09 a.m. Thursday morning. It happened on Forest Avenue. DMPD officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they found one adult male victim. Police said the 36-year-old victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead. He was later identified as Ruben Porter Sr. No other information is available at the moment. This incident remains under investigation. Davenport, IOWA – Police officials said the shots-fired incident occurred right after 2 a.m. early Thursday morning. It happened on Redwood Avenue. Davenport Police Department officers responded to shots-fired call. The responding officers reportedly found multiple shell casings. No one was injured in this incident and no damage was reported. Muscatine, IOWA – According to the city officials, the Tee-Ball program is designed to teach the fundamentals of baseball and softball through coached practices and non-competitive games that are incorporated into the program. Public school teacher lost his job after he reportedly wrote message encouraging LGBTQ students on his classroom board. Per reports, the message read “You are free to be yourself with me.” The educator, who was a music teacher at the intermediate school, posted a photo of the message on his Facebook page. His message included a rainbow flag, a transgender flag and rainbow colors. Many parents believe the educator’s message was inappropriate.
