It happened at the Dupaco Community Credit Union on Williams Blvd. Cedar Rapids Police Department officers responded to a report of a robbery. Des Moines, IOWA – According to the Des Moines Police Department, this unfortunate incident occurred around 1:52 a.m. early Saturday morning. It happened in the 2700 block of SW 23rd St. Des Moines Police Department officers responded to a report of a stabbing. The responding officers found one adult female victim. Police said the 35-year-old victim suffered severe stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The 33-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into custody. Bettendorf, IOWA – Bettendorf Police Department officials said the fatal accident occurred right before 7 a.m. Saturday morning. It happened on I-74. Bettendorf Police Department officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash. The responding officers discovered that the vehicle was traveling north on I-74 West when it left the road and went into the ditch. Both occupants of the vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries and were pronounced dead. Their identities have not yet been released. Davenport, IOWA – DFD officials said this incident occurred Thursday morning. It happened on West 13th Street. Davenport Fire Department crews responded to a report of a residential structure fire. The responding crews saw smoke coming from the first floor. The were able to quickly extinguish the fire. No one was injured in this incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Davenport, IOWA – According to the court documents, the 33-year-old defendant was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison. His name is Justin Reed and he must serve three years of supervised release once he completes his sentence. The 33-year-old defendant pleaded guilty in October. Reed reportedly stole 4 firearms from a licensed dealer (R&R Sports in Bettendorf). All four guns were recovered, police officials said. Coralville, IOWA – According to the court documents, the 32-year-old defendant pleaded guilty to reckless vehicular homicide, third offense of operating while intoxicated, driving while barred and possession of drug paraphernalia. His name is Bryce Wagehoft and prosecutors said he was speeding when he passed another vehicle on a rural road and hit the victim’s vehicle. The accident occurred in April 2020. The 43-year-old victim, Dawn Stout, was pronounced dead. A toxicology report revealed that the defendant had amphetamines, marijuana and opiates in his system. Story County, IOWA – According to the Iowa State University Police, both suspects were arrested and taken into custody on Monday. Abdullateef Malallah, 18, and Ty Jerman, 19, are now charged with threat of terrorism, which is defined by Iowa Code as an act intended to intimidate or coerce.  Both students are freshmen at Iowa State University, officials said.
