Bettendorf, IOWA – Police officials said the fatal accident occurred right after 6 a.m. Saturday morning. It happened on I-74. Bettendorf Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash. The responding officers discovered that the vehicle was traveling North on I-74, when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle and entered a ditch. The 26-year-old mother reportedly left her COVID-ill 3-month-old baby son in the care of her 9-year-old son for hours without adult supervision or food or electricity.
