Des Moines, IOWA – According to the Des Moines Police Department, this unfortunate incident occurred on Monday. It happened in the 3800 block of SE 14th Street. Des Moines Police Department officer initiated a traffic stop on the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect then provided a false name and fled on foot.  Officials said there was a physical struggle between the suspect and the responding officer. Webster County, IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, this unfortunate accident occurred Monday afternoon. It happened on 140th st. Iowa State Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash. The responding troopers discovered that the 45-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle and entered the south ditch causing the vehicle to roll over. Troopers said the man suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as Arthur Loyd. This incident remains under investigation. According to the court documents, the 29-year-old mother and the 35-year-old father are now charged with child cruelty for reportedly leaving their 6-year-old daughter in a filthy bedroom for hours. Authorities said the bedroom was mostly empty, filled only with trash, a broken mattress and a 2-inch foam mattress topper where the girl slept. The 29-year-mother, Tiphanie Lanier and the 35-year-old father, Joseph Lipscomb, both from Georgia, were charged with one count each of first degree cruelty to children, according to reports. It happened at 903 W. 3rd St. Davenport Fire Department crews responded to a report of a structure fire. The responding crews discovered that the fire got into the upper attic area and was spreading from the back to the front of the building. No one was injured in this incident. It happened in the 5100 block of North Center Point Road. Linn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash. The responding deputies discovered that Honda CR-V left the roadway and rolled onto its roof in the ditch. Prosecutors said the victim refused to date her 20-year-old co-worker after the bartender continued to pursue the woman at the restaurant where they both worked. Des Moines, IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Patrick Miller Webb and he was sentenced to 380 months in federal prison and ten years supervised release after the term ends. Prosecutors said the defendant has been found guilty of distribution of methamphetamine near a protected location, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person back in March, 2021.
