Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Fire Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right after midnight early Thursday morning.
It happened in the 3800 block of Kenwood Ave.
Davenport Fire Department crews responded to a report of a structure fire.
Six apparatus and one command vehicle responded to the incident with a total of 19 personnel, officials said.
The responding crews saw smoke and flames coming from the house.
An aggressive interior attack resulted in a quick knock down and subsequent control of the fire. M
oderate fire damage was noted on the main floor, although fire extension and water damage were kept to a minimum as other coordinated functions assisted in keeping from further loss.
No injuries were reported, officials said.
The occupant of the residence did not require any further assistance.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
