Davenport, IA – Four supervisors from the Davenport Police Department recently completed the FBI-LEEDA Command Leadership Institute, a nationally recognized law enforcement training held in Clinton, Iowa.
Sgt. Willey, Sgt. Dorton, Sgt. Askew, and Cpl. Figie attended the week-long course, which is the second phase of the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Series.
The Command Leadership Institute is designed to enhance leadership and management skills among law enforcement professionals.
It builds on the foundational principles introduced in the first part of the series, the Supervisor Leadership Institute, which all four Davenport officers completed earlier this year.
Department officials said the training reinforces the department’s commitment to professional development and leadership growth among its ranks.
According to the FBI-LEEDA program, participants are challenged to assess their leadership styles, develop ethical decision-making strategies, and foster effective communication within their agencies.
By completing the second phase of the Trilogy Series, the four Davenport supervisors have demonstrated their ongoing commitment to advancing their leadership abilities and serving the department and community with professionalism.
The Davenport Police Department publicly congratulated the officers for their achievement and continued dedication to growth in law enforcement leadership.
