Davenport, IOWA – According to the court documents, the 54-year-old woman was sentenced on Wednesday.
Her name is Michelle Fix and she was sentenced to 5 years probation in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a 48-year-old man dead.
Prosecutors said the 54-year-old defendant pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident causing death.
The fatal accident occurred in May 2021.
It happened on West 2nd Street.
The responding officers found one adult male victim.
Police said the 48-year-old victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead one week later.
He was later identified as Alfonso Reid Jr.
Prosecutors said the victim was crossing West 2nd Street south to north when he was struck by the defendant’s vehicle.
