Cedar Rapids, IOWA – According to the Cedar Rapids Police Department, the fatal shooting occurred right after 3 a.m. early Monday morning.
It happened in the area of 12th Avenue SW and Auburn Drive SW.
Cedar Rapids Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.
The responding officers found one adult male victim.
Police said the 36-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to his chest area and was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was later identified as Dustin Frondle.
