Davenport, IA – According to the statement, this is part of the Seamless Summer Option funded by the USDA that will allow all students to eat for free every day.
The officials have reported that students who choose virtual or online learning for the 2021-2022 school year will be eligible for free meals.
Five breakfasts and five lunches will be available to pick up weekly from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesdays starting August 24.
As we all know, the school district was able to offer free meals last year, and can now do so again thanks to pandemic relief money.
Participating students must choose at least one fruit or vegetable, in addition to an entree and milk.
The program is universal and income-blind, meaning all students can get these meals without having to apply.
