Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Police Department, the 25-year-old suspect was taken into custody on Wednesday.
His name is Rayontrez Brown and he is now charged with two counts of first-degree theft.
The first robbery occurred right before 5 p.m. on Jan. 21. Davenport Police Department officers responded to the Family Credit Union in the 2200 Jersey Ridge Road for a report of a robbery.
The responding officers discovered that the suspect reportedly jumped over the teller counter and demanded the teller give him all the money from the drawers.
He then left with an undisclosed amount of money.
The second robbery occurred right after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Davenport Police Department officers responded to the Family Credit Union in the 1400 block of Rockingham Road for a report of a robbery.
The responding officers reviewed security footage and discovered that the suspect demanded money from a teller behind the counter and left with an undisclosed amount of money.
The 25-year-old suspect was later found and arrested.
During an interview with investigators, Brown reportedly admitted that he went into the credit union and took cash.
He is being held on $20,000 cash-only bond.
