Davenport, IA – The Davenport Fire Department welcomed its newest members this week as Recruit James Allee and Recruit Kyle Buhman officially began Recruit Academy.
The two recruits started their training as the first step toward becoming Davenport firefighters. Over the coming weeks, they will complete intensive classroom instruction, hands-on training, and skills development designed to prepare them for serving the community.
According to the department, Recruit Academy is intended to build the knowledge, teamwork, and dedication expected of every Davenport firefighter before they begin serving in the field.
The Davenport Fire Department said it is excited to have Allee and Buhman join the team and wished them success as they begin their challenging and rewarding journey with the department.
