Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Police Department, his name is Pablo Miramontes-Gonzalez and he was arrested on Monday.
Police said the 31-year-old suspect faces charges of assault and interference with official acts.
This unfortunate incident occurred right after 12 p.m. Monday.
It happened on Interstate 280 and West Kimberly Road.
Davenport Police Department officers responded to a report of a disturbance.
The responding officers discovered that the 31-year-old suspect struck the bus driver multiple times in the face with a closed fist.
Police said the driver suffered a cut to his eyebrow, a cut to his lip and swelling to his face.
Witnesses told police that the suspect’s actions were unprovoked and were seen by other passengers who had to restrain him.
