The Davenport Police Department is releasing photo in hopes of identifying a vehicle in connection to a homicide

Davenport, IOWA – Police officials said the 34-year-old victim, Dimitri Martin, died from injuries on Monday.

The shooting occurred right before 1 a.m. early Friday morning.

Officers responded to the area of Third and Ripley Streets in reference to a call of shots fired.

The 34-year-old man was transported by Medic EMS to a local hospital.

The Davenport Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in locating an involved vehicle along with any associated individuals.

This vehicle appears to have the following unique characteristics:

  • Dark colored, possibly dark blue four door sedan
  • Headlamps have a blue tint, possibly LED
  • Front two windows stock or un-tinted
  • Chrome trim around windows
  • Turn signal on the side mirror housing
  • Third brake light at the bottom of the back window
  • Dual exhaust
  • No exterior damage
