Moorhead, IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Kristofer Erlbacher and he was sentenced to a mandatory life sentence.
The 29-year-old defendant was sentenced on Monday after being convicted in December of first-degree murder in the 2020 killing of 30-year-old Caleb Solberg.
Prosecutors said the defendant and the victim were reportedly drinking and eating at a bar the night of Dec. 17, 2020.
The defendant then reportedly put mayonnaise on the victim’s food, leading to a fistfight.
The defendant left the bar and later ran the victim down with his truck outside.
