Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, his name is Sylvis Brandon Nelson and he was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder. According to the police officials, Nelson beat and strangled 34-year-old Cobrianda Anderson, who was found dead in her home by emergency responders on March 24. Nelson told authorities Anderson had suffered an asthma attack and died. But an autopsy confirmed her cause of death was strangulation and blunt-force head injuries. Davenport, IA – According to the statement, his name is Trai Terrell Anderson and he pleaded guilty in March to attempted murder, a Class B felony, and going armed with intent, a Class D felony. On Jan. 29, 2020, officers responded to a disturbance call at the Relax Inn on North Brady Street. A good samaritan who intervened in an argument in Chicago has lost his life after being stabbed to death, according to reports. Police say that the incident played out at a store, where one of the cashiers was working when her 14-year-old daughter – also in the store – asked her about a water bottle. As per reports, a customer in the shop thought the teenager to be cutting in line, and took issue with it. Inexplicably, the man flew into a rage and began swearing at the 14-year-old. IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Gary Dains Jr. and he was sentenced Monday in Woodbury County. Dains Jr. was convicted in March of voluntary manslaughter and three other charges for the killing of 65-year-old Paul Smith in Sioux City in July 2019. The victim caught Dains breaking into his home for the second time in eight days. He killed Smith in a struggle, then took $120 and Smith’s vehicle, which he later gave away.

IOWA – According to the statement, a joint effort of Kirkwood Community College, the Visiting Nurses Association, and Johnson County Public Health, will take place on April 28 from Noon until 6:00 p.m. The mass vaccination clinic will be held at the college’s Iowa City campus, located at 1816 Lower Muscatine Road.  Anybody aged 16 or older is eligible for the vaccine at the event, though children aged 16 or 17 will need parental consent.
