DAVENPORT, IOWA – A driver who hit the car of a family enjoying Christmas lights ruined a peaceful evening Saturday in Davenport. Police were at a crash shortly after 6:45 p.m. at the intersection of 13th and Division Streets after a family, including a granddaughter and grandmother, who were driving around to see Christmas lights were struck by a driver who didn’t stick around afterward. The Rabbi said Sunday Davenport Police and the FBI are now investigating the vandalism as a hate crime. The brick walls in Davenport at Temple Emanuel surround a sacred space. DAVENPORT, IOWA – Multiple squad cars were in the area of the 2000 block of Gaines Street, Davenport, after a report of shots fired about 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Several squad cars arrived at the scene and watched or blocked off locations in the surrounding area.
