Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Police Department, the shooting occurred right after 2 a.m. early Sunday morning. It happened at Déjà Vu located at 5220 Grand Ave. Davenport Police Department officers responded in reference to the report of a possible gunshot victim. The responding officers found one adult male victim. Police said the 33-year-old victim suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The unidentified individual was later transferred to University of Iowa Hospitals. No other injuries or damage was reported, police said. This incident remains under investigation. Muscatine, IOWA – According to the city officials, the full closure will last approximately six weeks depending on the weather. Officials have announced that limited access will be permitted on Lucas Street from Main Street on the east side of the intersection and from Busch Street on the west side. According to the statement, limited access will also be permitted on West 8th Street from Broadway to the Lucas Street intersection and from Main Street to the Lucas Street intersection. Mother says that COVID-19 completely destroyed both of her daughter’s kidneys. She is now preparing to donate one of her own organs so she could give her young daughter another chance at life. The 9-year-old girl was rushed to the children’s hospital by ambulance on the same day she tested positive for COVID-19. The mother said that her daughter’s kidneys failed two days later. Davenport, IOWA – Davenport Fire Department officials said this incident occurred right after 8 p.m. Thursday night.  It happened on W. 17th Street. Davenport Fire Department crews responded to a report of a structure fire. DFD officials said that 5 fire apparatus and one command vehicle responded to the scene. Scott Emergency Communications Center received multiple 911 calls advising of a house that had an abundance of smoke coming from the attic, one of the calls were noted to be from the affected resident as well. Davenport, IOWA – According to the court documents, the 41-year-old defendant was sentenced on Wednesday. His name is Vincent Brocato and he was sentenced to 27 years in prison for shooting his girlfriend in February 2021. The 41-year-old defendant was convicted Vincent Brocato of attempted murder and domestic abuse assault while displaying or using a weapon. The unfortunate mother offered the two girls a place to stay when they asked for help.
