Cedar Rapids, IOWA – According to the Cedar Rapids Fire Department, this unfortunate incident occurred around 11 a.m. Tuesday morning. It happened in the 300 block of 30th St SE. Cedar Rapids Fire Department crews responded to a report of a residential house fire. The responding crews discovered that the single occupant of the home at the time had safely escaped. The high school coach claims she was fired after she reportedly sent an email to the school district administrators about gender bullying and harassment of students in high school athletics. The volleyball coach, who also taught physical education, claims she was fired for speaking up about coaches harassing female students. Now, she has filed a lawsuit against the school district and is asking to be reinstated. Muscatine County, IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, this unfortunate accident occurred right after 5 p.m. Friday afternoon. It happened at U.S. 6 and Bancroft Avenue. Iowa State Patrol troopers and Muscatine County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash. The responding officers discovered that two vehicles crashed at the location. One person suffered serious injuries and two others suffered minor injuries, ISP officials said. All three victims were taken to a hospital for treatment. Their identities have not yet been released. Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Police Department, the shooting occurred right after 2 a.m. early Sunday morning. It happened at Déjà Vu located at 5220 Grand Ave. Davenport Police Department officers responded in reference to the report of a possible gunshot victim. The responding officers found one adult male victim. Police said the 33-year-old victim suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Muscatine, IOWA – According to the city officials, the full closure will last approximately six weeks depending on the weather. Officials have announced that limited access will be permitted on Lucas Street from Main Street on the east side of the intersection and from Busch Street on the west side. Mother says that COVID-19 completely destroyed both of her daughter’s kidneys. She is now preparing to donate one of her own organs so she could give her young daughter another chance at life. The 9-year-old girl was rushed to the children’s hospital by ambulance on the same day she tested positive for COVID-19. The mother said that her daughter’s kidneys failed two days later.
