Her name is Michelle Fix and she was sentenced to 5 years probation in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a 48-year-old man dead. Waterloo, IOWA – According to the court documents, the 29-year-old defendant was sentenced on Thursday. His name is Stephen Phillips and he was sentenced to life in prison for the shooting death of Terrell Flowers. The 29-year-old defendant was found guilty of first-degree murder in February. The fatal shooting occurred in May 2020. It happened on Crescent Place. According to the court documents, the 29-year-old defendant reportedly threatened to kill Flowers after a previous argument, and Phillips contends the shooting was in self defense. Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Police Department, the fatal accident occurred around 10:09 p.m. Tuesday night. It happened on East Locust Street. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash. The responding officers found one adult male victim. Police said the 23-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead. Investigators believe that Chevrolet Malibu was traveling eastbound on East Locust Street when it struck a pedestrian crossing the roadway. This incident remains under investigation. Davenport, IOWA – Davenport Police Department officials said this incident occurred right after 11 p.m. Tuesday night. It happened on Pine Street. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they reportedly found multiple casings. Johnson County, IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, the fatal accident occurred around 12:17 p.m. Sunday. It happened on Interstate 80. Iowa State Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash. The responding troopers discovered that Toyota Prius traveling eastbound was struck from behind by a International semi, which was in the same lane.
