Her name is Michelle Fix and she was sentenced to 5 years probation in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a 48-year-old man dead. Waterloo, IOWA – According to the court documents, the 29-year-old defendant was sentenced on Thursday. His name is Stephen Phillips and he was sentenced to life in prison for the shooting death of Terrell Flowers. The 29-year-old defendant was found guilty of first-degree murder in February. The fatal shooting occurred in May 2020. It happened on Crescent Place. According to the court documents, the 29-year-old defendant reportedly threatened to kill Flowers after a previous argument, and Phillips contends the shooting was in self defense.
