Davenport, IOWA – According to the statement, this incident occurred right after 3 a.m. early Saturday morning. It happened on Mississippi Ave. Davenport Fire Department crews responded to a report of a structure fire. The responding crews saw moderate smoke and fire on the outside of the house that extended into the attic. All six occupants were out of the structure when the fire department arrived. Crews were able to rescue two dogs, one lizard and a hamster. The responding crews were able to extinguish the blaze in just 90 minutes. Center Point, IOWA – Iowa State Patrol officials said the two-vehicle crash occurred around 4:09 p.m. Thursday afternoon. It happened on Lewis Access Road and Ford Lane. lowa State Patrol troopers, Linn County Sheriff’s deputies, Center Point Fire Department crews and Center Point Ambulance personnel responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash. Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Fire Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right after midnight early Thursday morning. It happened in the 3800 block of Kenwood Ave. Davenport Fire Department crews responded to a report of a structure fire. Six apparatus and one command vehicle responded to the incident with a total of 19 personnel, officials said. Dubuque, IOWA – According to the police officials, the shooting occurred around 11:09 p.m. late Tuesday night. It happened on Jackson Street. Dubuque Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they found one adult male victim. Police said the victim suffered a single gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The victim’s age or identity have not yet been released. Davenport, IOWA – According to the statement, Major Jeffery Bladel will succeed Davenport Police Chief Paul Sikorski following his retirement in August.  Officials also said that Major Jeffery Bladel has served as the Assistant Chief of Police since 2016.
