Cedar Rapids, IOWA – According to the court documents, a jury convicted the 33-year-old defendant on two counts of robbery in the first degree, two counts of willful injury, theft in the first degree and impersonating a public official. On Jan. 9, 2022, the 33-year-old defendant, Brandon Lee, reportedly displayed a badge and posed as an officer at the home of 73-year-old Joseph Henderson and 72-year-old Sandra Henderson. The defendant then violently attacked Mr. and Mrs. Henderson, causing Mr. Henderson to suffer serious injuries, including facial fractures, and Mrs. Henderson to sustain a deep laceration to her head, court records say.…

Davenport, IOWA – According to the statement, this incident occurred right after 3 a.m. early Saturday morning. It happened on Mississippi Ave. Davenport Fire Department crews responded to a report of a structure fire. The responding crews saw moderate smoke and fire on the outside of the house that extended into the attic. All six occupants were out of the structure when the fire department arrived. Crews were able to rescue two dogs, one lizard and a hamster. The responding crews were able to extinguish the blaze in just 90 minutes.
