Linn County, IOWA – According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred right before 3 p.m. early Sunday morning. It happened at Lakeside Rd and Dows Rd. Linn County Sheriff’s deputies, Marion Fire Department crews and Area Ambulance responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash. The responding deputies discovered that the 40-year-old driver, later identified as Christopher Washington, was traveling southbound on Lakeside Rd near Dows Rd when he lost control of his vehicle and went into the west ditch. Davenport Police Department officers and Davenport Fire Department Arson Investigators responded to a report of a pipe bomb that had been detonated inside of a boat, police said. Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Fire Department, this incident occurred right after 2 p.m. Monday afternoon. It happened in the 1100 block of Pershing Avenue. Davenport Fire Department crews responded to a report of a structure fire. The responding crews discovered a very large fire on the front and side of the building with flames both on the interior and exterior. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they found a 28-year-old female victim suffering from a serious but non-life threatening gunshot wound, police officials said.
