IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is David Sean Hunter and he was sentenced Friday for first-degree murder in the November 2019 death of Christopher Swalwell.   Prosecutors say the 57-year-old defendant gave the victim his credit card information in order to create an account for a game on Xbox. He thought the charge would be $1, but the charge was actually $15.99. Prosecutors say Hunter was so angry over the charge that he went to confront Swalwell in his room. Davenport, IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Matthew Cheatheam and he faces a felony charge of willful injury (causing bodily injury) and an aggravated misdemeanor charge of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. This incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. It happened at 2820 Rockingham Road. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a report of an assault. The responding officers discovered that the 42-year-old suspect stabbed the victim in the back with a sharp object.  The suspect was booked in Scott County Jail.  This is a developing story and it will be updated as new information become available.

Davenport, IOWA – This unfortunate accident occurred around 7:15 p.m. Friday. It happened in the 4400 block of North Pine Street. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash. Police say the motorcyclist was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed. He then lost control of the motorcycle, left the roadway and hit a tree. Police say the 51-year-old motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Walford, IOWA – According to the police officials, his name is Jonathan Hefflefinger and police say he surrendered himself to Linn County Deputies. The 21-year-old man was taken into custody at the Linn County Correctional Center. Authorities say the bank robbery happened at the Central State Bank in Walford. The suspect was moved to Benton County Jail and charged with 2nd Degree Robbery. This is a developing story and it will be updated as new information become available. Prosecutors say the 25-year-old defendant is charged with: first-degree criminal mischief; first-degree robbery; second-degree theft and second-degree eluding. IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash occurred right before 3 p.m. Wednesday. It happened at the offramp from U.S. Highway 63 to U.S. Highway 18 west of Fredericksburg. Iowa State Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash. Hyundai Accent was exiting from Highway 63 to Highway 18, but did not yield at the stop sign. The eastbound semi-truck struck the Hyundai.
