Davenport, IOWA – This unfortunate accident occurred around 7:15 p.m. Friday.
It happened in the 4400 block of North Pine Street.
Davenport Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash.
Police say the motorcyclist was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed.
He then lost control of the motorcycle, left the roadway and hit a tree.
Police say the 51-year-old motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
This incident is under investigation.
