Cedar Rapids, IOWA – According to the Cedar Rapids Police Department, this unfortunate incident occurred around 12:37 a.m. early Wednesday morning.
It happened in the 1600 block of E Ave NW.
Cedar Rapids Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding officers discovered that the vehicle vehicle left the roadway and struck a concrete pole adjacent to a driveway.
The driver who was the only occupant of the vehicle was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver’s age or identity have not yet been released.
The accident is under investigation, no citations have been issued at this time, CRPD officials said.
