Davenport, IOWA – According to the statement, the free transit ride event is open to all on Monday, May 2, 2022, from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on all CitiBus routes.
City officials have announced that all passengers must follow rider rules to enjoy the ride.
Marla Miller, Transit Operations Manager, released the following statement:
“It has been a long haul, and we are happy our passengers and operators can now feel a sense of normalcy return to their commute.
Wanting to mark the change and share her appreciation for a job well done. Lifting the mandate just didn’t seem like enough, and with gas prices so high right now, we wanted to do more for our passengers, operators, and the community.
With that in mind, we could not think of a better way to show our appreciation than to offer everyone free rides on transit for a day.”
