Linn County, IOWA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred right after 9 p.m. Thursday.
It happened at 969 Ivanhoe Rd in Mount Vernon.
Authorities say that two people were involved in a domestic disturbance.
A 28-year-old woman stabbed a man in the upper left chest with a knife. The extent of the injuries is not known at this time.
Her name is Charinea Triggs and she was arrested.
Triggs was booked into Linn County Jail.
The 28-year-old woman faces charges of domestic abuse with a weapon and willful injury.
