Davenport, IOWA – According to the statement, this incident occurred right after 3 a.m. early Saturday morning.
It happened on Mississippi Ave.
Davenport Fire Department crews responded to a report of a structure fire.
The responding crews saw moderate smoke and fire on the outside of the house that extended into the attic.
All six occupants were out of the structure when the fire department arrived.
Crews were able to rescue two dogs, one lizard and a hamster.
The responding crews were able to extinguish the blaze in just 90 minutes.
Unfortunately, the home sustained heavy smoke and fire damage.
No injuries were reported by civilians or firefighters.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
