Johnson County, IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, this unfortunate incident occurred on Monday.
It happened on Highway 1 at Fox Lane.
Iowa State Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash.
When the troopers arrived on scene, they found two victims.
They say one of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene.
The responding troopers troopers discovered that a vehicle hit a deer that ran into the roadway.
Authorities say the vehicle then crossed the center line, hitting another vehicle head-on.
