Local resident awaiting trial on four counts of second-degree robbery has been arrested on weapons and drug charges

Davenport, IA – According to the court documents, his name is Deontye Jamere Lewis and he is charged in Scott County District Court with one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The charge is a Class D felony under Iowa law that carries a prison sentence of five years.

The 24-year-old man is also charged with four serious misdemeanors of possession of marijuana-second offense, possession of a controlled substance-first offense, unlawful possession of a prescription drug and interference with official acts causing bodily injury.

He was being held Friday in the Scott County Jail on a $5,000 bond, cash or surety.

A pretrial conference in that case is scheduled for June 25 in Scott County District Court.
