Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, his name is Austin James Sandberg and he faces charges of first-degree robbery, a Class B felony punishable by 25 years in prison, and first-degree theft, a Class C felony punishable by 10 years in prison.
About the incident – This unfortunate incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. January 1 in the 2600 block of Oak Street.
Officers responded to a reports of a stolen vehicle.
The victim said that Sandberg displayed a small firearm and ordered him to get out of the vehicle.
Sandberg then opened the passenger door and struck the victim with his elbow.
The suspect ordered him to get out and then he drove off.
He has multiple pending charges, including possession of a stolen vehicle, aggravated eluding, and aggravated battery of a peace officer.
