Memorial service was held in memory of those Davenport Police Officers that we have lost to recognize and honor them for their courage, bravery, heroism, and sacrifice while protecting our community, police officials say

Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Police Department officials, those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty in the City of Davenport are

• Emil Speth (End of Watch 1/26/1917)
• Bernard Geerts (End of Watch 7/16/1928)
• William Jurgens (End of Watch 7/16/1958)
• Michael Farnsworth (End of Watch 12/5/1971)

Davenport Police Department officials released the following statement:

“Yesterday and everyday, we honor their lives and legacies by serving our community with honor and remembering their selflessness. Gone but never forgotten! We’ll take it from here!”
