Jones County, IOWa – According to the Iowa State Patrol, this unfortunate accident occurred around 12:45 a.m. early Friday morning.
It happened in the 9300 block of County Road X40.
Iowa State Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding troopers discovered that Ford Focus entered the west ditch and rolled several times before hitting farm equipment.
Two occupants were ejected from the vehicle.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other two victims suffered injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
