Washington County, IOWA – According to the Washington County Ambulance, this unfortunate accident occurred around 3:22 a.m. early Sunday morning.
It happened near 285th Street and Palm Avenue.
Washington County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash.
The first responders say they had to free some of the occupants of the vehicle.
One of the occupants of the vehicle was taken to a hospital in critical condition, officials said.
Two patients were taken to a local hospital and are in good condition.
The fourth person refused care on scene, officials said.
The Washington County Ambulance was assisted by the Washington County Ambulance Emergency Communications Center, Washington County Fire Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Department, Washington County EMS, Washington County Rescue and the University of IowaCare.
The area was blocked off from traffic for over an hour while emergency crews were on site.
