Davenport, IA – The CDC highly recommends that these communities should wear a mask indoors.
As we all know, earlier this year, legislators voted to prohibit counties and cities from creating mask mandates.
Governor Reynolds said that she has no plans to mandate vaccines or masks.
She called the CDC’s masking guidance counterproductive to vaccination efforts and not grounded in reality or common sense.
According to the health officials, 62% of Iowans 18 and older are fully vaccinated and 66% have at least one dose. The state is at 95% for people age 65 and older.
The CDC says 97% of COVID-19 hospitalizations are unvaccinated.
