Muscatine, IOWA – According to the Muscatine Department of Public Works, the closure is expected to begin at 7 a.m. on June 6 and continue through the end of the day on June 10.
City officials also said that two crosswalks will be removed and replaced as part of the punch list for the recent 2nd Street Streetscape Project.
Ladies and gentlemen, one of the crosswalks cuts across the 300 block of East 2nd Street while the other crosswalk cuts across the 200 block of Cedar.
KE Flatwork will be removing the pavers from the two crosswalks on Monday with Eastern Iowa Landscaping replacing the brick pavers starting Tuesday.
Access to all businesses in the affected blocks will be maintained.
Through traffic should detour to either Mississippi Drive or 3rd Street using either Sycamore or Walnut streets.
