Davenport, IA – According to statement, all vendors at the Iowa State Fair were required to buy and use a new cash register system – Clover.
Officials say that the model that most vendors are using cost up to $750.
The contactless option is the best thing about this model.
Other features of Clover include: paperless receipts, inventory management and sale tracking with item level reporting.
The organizers say they will take the CDC’s guidance into consideration and they plan to let families decide if they want to wear masks.
Gary Slater, Manager at Iowa State Fair, said:
“The CDC is not requiring masks, they’re recommending them. That is what we are endorsing.
Anybody is welcome to bring their masks, wear masks, and we will have masks available for people who are, maybe, forget theirs, or are a little uncomfortable.”
