Black Hawk County, IOWA – Authorities said the two-vehicle accident occurred around 8:41 p.m. Saturday.
It happened in the 300 block of North Canfield Road.
Black Hawk County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash.
The responding deputies discovered that Chevrolet Malibu crashed into the rear driver side of the semi-trailer.
Deputies said that the Chevrolet Malibu was reportedly driving southbound as the semi tried to back into a private driveway and turn around.
Both the driver and the passenger of the Chevrolet Malibu suffered injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
The driver of the semi-trailer was not injured.
This incident remains under investigation.
