Waterloo, IOWA – According to the Waterloo Police Department, this unfortunate incident occurred around 1:10 a.m. early Monday morning.
It happened at 620 W 6th Street.
While the responding officers were investigating an assault at the location, the 27-year-old suspect reportedly got into a physical altercation with an officer.
His name is Everett Ross and he reportedly pushed the officer and slapped his arm.
The 27-year-old man then continued to resist arrest by allegedly grabbing the officer’s gun.
The pistol remained in the holster and the suspect was arrested.
He was taken into custody and charged with disarming a peace officer, assaulting an officer and interference with official acts.
The 27-year-old man is being held at the Black Hawk County Jail.
