One person seriously injured in collision between UTV, pickup truck at the intersection of East Lone Tree Road and Cypress Avenue

Cedar Falls, IOWA – According to the Cedar Falls Police and Fire, this unfortunate accident occurred right before 9 p.m. Saturday.

It happened at the intersection of East Lone Tree Road and Cypress Avenue.

The responding officers discovered that pickup truck and a Polaris Ranger two seat utility vehicle bearing a snow plow crashed at the location.

The UTV driver was reportedly traveling eastbound on Lone Tree Road and after attempting to turn onto Cypress Avenue, ended up turning into the path of the pickup truck traveling westbound.

Police officials said that the driver of the UTV was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

This incident remains under investigation.
