Davenport, IOWA – According to the police officials, his name is Julius Mosley Jr. and he was taken into custody late Saturday night.
The 18-year-old suspect is now facing multiple charges, including control of a firearm by a felon, interference with official acts and domestic abuse assault.
This incident occurred right after 11 p.m. Saturday.
It happened in the 1400 block of Harrison Street.
DPD officers reportedly saw a vehicle with no plates heading east at a high rate of speed.
The responding officers reportedly attempted to catch up to it for a traffic stop, but the vehicle continued to travel at a high rate of speed.
The suspect’s vehicle then struck two vehicles traveling near the intersection.
The 18-year-old suspect tried to ran away, but was taken into custody shortly after.
The responding officers reportedly found a loaded handgun that was reported stolen.
Davenport Police Department officials also said that the 18-year-old suspect reportedly argued with a victim right before the crash.
Mosley reportedly struck the victim in the right side of the face with his closed fist.
This incident remains under investigation.
