A 35-year-old man is behind bars after authorities say the vehicle he was driving damaged several police cars while he tried to get away from officers

Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, his name is Ricky Kirk Jr. and he faces felony charges of controlled-substance violation and failure to affix a drug-tax stamp, and aggravated misdemeanor charges of driving while barred and operating while under the influence-second offense.

This unfortunate incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. Monday.

It happened in the area of East 29th and North Brady.

The responding officers tried to block his vehicle. The suspect damaged multiple police cars in an attempt to get away from officers.

The suspect tried to ran away, but officers took him into custody after a short foot chase.

He is being held on a total $26,000 cash-only bond in Scott County Jail.
