According to the police officials, a 26-year-old man was shot after an argument arose among a group of men and women at a shoe raffle in front of the store. Police say the victim arrived right before the dispute and was shot by another man.
Police identified the man as Jayren Bradford. He was working at the Shoe Palace at 7725 Melrose Ave. where the shooting took place.
Police say the responding officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Cellphone video that captured the incident shows Bradford being swarmed by people before someone opens fire.
Authorities say the suspect is a Latino man in his early 20s with short hair. They say he was last seen getting into a sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry. This is a developing story and it will be updated as new information become available.
