Davenport, IOWA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred right before 8 a.m. Wednesday morning. It happened at 1712 Spring Street. Davenport Police Department officers and Davenport Fire Department Arson Investigators responded to a report of a pipe bomb that had been detonated inside of a boat, police said. Through a joint investigation, 46-years-old suspect, later identified as Jon Kucharo, was taken into custody in the 1600 block of West 12th Street. Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Fire Department, this incident occurred right after 2 p.m. Monday afternoon. It happened in the 1100 block of Pershing Avenue. Davenport Fire Department crews responded to a report of a structure fire. The responding crews discovered a very large fire on the front and side of the building with flames both on the interior and exterior. Crews quickly attempted to extinguish the fire with multiple hose lines from different directions. Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Police Department, the shooting occurred right after 10 p.m. Tuesday. It happened in the 1300 block of Ripley Street. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they found a 28-year-old female victim suffering from a serious but non-life threatening gunshot wound, police officials said. The injured woman was transported by Medic EMS to the hospital for medical treatment. The victim’s identity has not yet been released. No other injuries or damage was reported. Davenport, IOWA – According to the statement, Cpl. Kenneth Ford was reported missing in action during the Korean War on December 2, 1950. He was accounted for in September of 2019 through DNA analysis. Cpl. Ford is now returning home to Albia for burial, state officials said. Cpl. Fayette County, IOWA – According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred right after 11 a.m. Thursday morning. It happened on 200th St east of Acorn Rd. Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash. Parents of a young boy claim a bully sent their 8-year-old son to the hospital and doctors were fighting to save the his leg after an injury at the elementary school. According to his family, the young student got up to look at the whiteboard and the bully, who was not identified due to his age, reportedly placed a pencil standing up, which the student kneeled directly onto.
