Davenport, IA – According to the statement, Hy-Vee will host walk-up immunization clinics from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The Hy-Vee clinics will be held at the West Grand Exhibit Area for the duration of the Iowa State Fair. The clinics will offer free COVID-19 vaccines to people age 12 and up. According to the statement, the Hy-Vee clinics will also offer seasonal flu vaccines. The clinic will offer vaccines from Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer. According to the health officials, these vaccines are considered extremely effective at preventing hospitalizations due to COVID-19 and worse.

Davenport, IA – According to the statement, the overflow is located on Walnut Creek near Blue Grass Rd.  Officials are reporting that the overflow is the result of a blockage combined with pipe failure. The City of Davenport advises everyone to avoid Walnut Creek from Blue Grass Road downstream to Black Hawk Creek. A contractor is being secured to make pipe repairs and this issue has been reported to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. This story will be updated when new information is available.

Four parents are filing a lawsuit against the District of Columbia over their children’s ability to authorize medical professionals to administer vaccines without their parental consent.
