Cedar Falls, IOWA – According to the Cedar Falls Fire Rescue, this unfortunate incident occurred around 10:33 a.m. Wednesday morning. It happened at the corner of 16th and Clay Street. Cedar Falls Fire Rescue crews responded to a report of a residential structure fire. The responding crews reportedly saw fire and heavy black smoke coming from the front and south sides of the residence. Des Moines, IOWA – According to the statement, the disaster proclamation allows state resources to be utilized to respond to, and recover from, the effects of this severe weather in Boone, Des Moines, Hamilton, Ida, Lyon and Webster counties.     State officials also said that the disaster proclamation activates the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program for qualifying residents, along with the Disaster Case Management Program, for the six counties.
